These editorial illustrations accompanied an investigative series by Amy Silverman for KJZZ and Arizona Daily Star. The stories detail the abuse and neglect people with intellectual disabilities face in Arizona.
The illustrations needed to function for both square and horizontal proportions, so I created framework to house the core art pieces. This added a representation of the bureaucratic challenges that surround some of the structural care that’s offered to people with IDD.
