I’m part of the PHX Zine Fest organizing team, and I got to take on our annual brand refresh for 2025. Southwest representation is often part of our look. Since collage is such a popular art form for zines, I opted to edit some vintage images of our desert and of outer space, and I incorporated silly, splashy illustrations to create something memorable and unique. The goal was that each graphic or design item would incorporate both desert and space as a way of saying, “this is where we’re from, and the possibilities are limitless.”
